20/20 Institute’s Bladeless LASIK
Bladeless LASIK at 20/20 institute refers to the use of the Ziemer LDV Femtosecond Laser during the first step of LASIK, in which a flap is created on the surface of your cornea.
Before Bladeless LASIK, the LASIK surgeon was required to create the flap using a small bladed surgical device called a microkeratome. Now, your surgeon has the ability to use a laser light to accurately penetrate the eye’s top layer and create a precise Corneal flap. Bladeless LASIK with Laser flap creation provides improved safety and precision.
